Description

2013 Patriots Run 10K & 5K :

Join us in honoring our country's wounded warriors on Memorial Day weekend at the Patriots Run at Lake Murray.
This may be one of the most scenic race routes in San Diego with wild flowers, mountains in the distance and lots of birds in the sky and on the lake.

The finish line is a patriotic sight - Hundreds of American flags are waved by volunteers and presented to athletes as they cross the finish line. All finishers also receive a beautiful, custom designed star shaped medal.

The finish line festival includes a refreshments, face painting, exhibits and music.
A portion of the proceeds from the race benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and Patrick Henry High School.

Course Info

The paved course has some elevation as it gently winds above the lake's shoreline. 

Directions

From Interstate 5, take or from Interstate 15, take Interstate 8 East, Take exit 11 toward Lake Murray Blvd./ 70th St., Turn right onto Alvarado Rd.,  Take the 1st right onto Lake Murray Blvd., Turn left onto Kiowa Dr.
