Event Summary:Join us on July 4th for the 2nd Annual Ward Parkway Four on the Fourth Run/Walk! This fun, family event takes you along scenic Ward Parkway and includes a fantastic post-race celebration! Course is USATF certified. Bib chip timing!

Event Details:

Register Now and start your 4th of July celebration early that morning with friends and family. There will be tech shirts, prizes, food, free giveaways, and oh yeah, a great 4 Mile Run/Walk with a finish you dont want to miss!

Start: 7 a.m. on west side of the Ward Parkway Center, next to Off Broadway Shoes

Awesome Giveaways! All participants receive a Four on the Fourth Technical Fabric Race Shirt. Additional shirts will be available for $9. Race shirts are guaranteed for those who register by June 11th. No guarantee of shirt or proper size for later registrants. Note: Shirt not available with Kids Fun Run Registration. We will also give away plenty of refreshments (see below) and great door prizes from select vendors!

Kids Fun Run: For ages 12 & under. Fun Run will start as soon as the last 4 Mile participant crosses the finish line. The Kids Fun Run will not be timed. Shirt not included in Kids Fun Run Registration (additional shirts will be available for purchase). All participants will receive a finishers medal!

Team Division: The top 3 open teams of 4+ members will compete for prizes. To register your group as a team, each individual must answer Yes to the question Are you on a 4+ person team? You must then type in your team name in the box provided on the following page.

Race Fees: 5K Registration- $30.00, Kids Fun Run - $15.00

Packet Pickup: 7/3/2012 from 12p-5p at Garry Gribble's in Ward Parkway Center at 87th and State Line or at the start on race morning from 5:30a-6:45a

Awards: 4th of July themed medal will be given to top male and female finishers and top 3 finishers in age groups 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and up. Award given for best 4th of July themed costume and Largest Donation!

Refreshments: Be prepared for lots of good food and water after the race!

Strollers Welcome! We ask that walkers with strollers start behind the runners so everyone will be safe!

Note: No runners with headsets, motorized vehicles, roller blades, bikes or dogs will be allowed on the course as our insurance policy does not cover these. No runners with strollers will be allowed but you can WALK with a stroller. Protection will be provided at all intersections by volunteers or the Kansas City Police Department.

Scenic Course: Click here for map of the course. One Aid Station will be located at 88th St and Ward Pkwy. You should hit it at approximately the 2 mile mark and again at the 3.4 mile mark.
