2013 Walnut Hill Resurrection 5K Run / Walk:

5k Race / Walk on the beautiful Derby Greenway located on the banks of the Naugatuck and Housatonic Rivers.
Competitive prizes will be awarded by age category and overall Sponsorship prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers as well.
Refreshments will be provided at the end of the race when all prizes will be awarded.

Directions

Take Route 8 north or south to exit 15 (Route 34).
Make a left off of the exit and take a left after the traffic light past the Home Depot (Factory Street) onto Caroline Street.
Follow the road past the water treatment plant up over the Greenway on down to the O'Sullivan's Island parking area.

Net proceeds will be donated to the Center for Domestic Violence Services of Birmingham Health Services (BHCare), located in Ansonia, CT, which operates the Umbrella Shelter, an emergency safe house for those who have been affected by domestic abuse and many other services offering new hope and new life to those affected by domestic abuse.

In addition to registering for and participating in the run / walk participants are also encouraged to actively recruit sponsors / donors would pledge some dollar donation as a result of their participation to this worthwhile cause. Also sponsor / donor pledges would be provided directly to Birmingham Health Services and checks should be made out in like manner. Sponsorship forms are available for download.
