Description
The Yorktown Independence Day 8k Run and 5K Walk
Thursday, July 4th 8AM York High School
An 8K loop on the scenic roads and trails of the Yorktown battlefield. Walkers and shorter distance runners are invited to a non-scored 5k event. Both events begin and end near Surrender Field. Parking and registration is at York High School.
Course Info
A looped course circling the battlefield roads, a gravel bike bath, Surrender Road and back to Surrender Field. Awards to top 3 male and female overall and top 3 male and female in eleven age groups. Race begins at 8AM and chute closes at 9:30. Please no walkers or jog strollers on this course.
The 5K Fun Run Event
The 5K Fun Run Event
An out and back course on the Battlefield Road. Runners may compete in this race but it is a non-scored event. A finish line clock will be provided but there will be no official scoring. All finishers will receive a commemorative ribbon.
