Description

Celebrate Trails and Tails June 1 at Mahoney SP!  Trails and Tails celebrates Nebraskas wildlife and National Trails Day with outdoor activities and a chance to Run Wild dressed like a wild animal.  Run Wild is a chip-timed 10k race through the scenic, challenging trails of Mahoney SP.  Children can also Run Wild at the 1 mile childrens fun run.  Registration proceeds support the Nebraska Wildlife Conservation Fund.
Runners are encouraged to celebrate Nebraskas Wildlife by running the trails dressed like a wild animal!  Prizes for the winners and best costume!  The 10k trail run is a celebration of National Trails Day.  The run begins at the Activities Building, but the route quickly turns into a scenic, challenging trail.  The runner's route follows the natural terrain of Eugene T. Mahoney State Park so keep your eyes on the trail for rocks, dirt, gravel, hills, and wildlife!
