9th Annual Run/Walk Brings Community Together to Fight Lung Cancer
Chicago, IL On September 7, 2013 almost 2,000 runners, lung cancer survivors and their families, along with representatives of the leading Chicago hospitals, will participate in the 9th Annual Astellas Oncology Chicago Lung Runa 10K, 5K and 1 mile walk and rally that will be held at Chicagos beautiful Montrose Harbor.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of Americans who are battling lung cancer, the Astellas Oncology Chicago Lung Run will benefit Uniting Against Lung Cancer. UALC and the Chicago Lung Runs shared mission is to fund innovative research and raise awareness to find a cure for lung cancer, the leading cancer killer in the United States. UALC has awarded more than $10 million in research grants into diagnosis, treatment and a cure for lung cancer.
