Description
This will be the 10th Annual St. Francis 5K Ring the Bell Run/Walk, traditionally known as our Steeple Chase. This year we are ushering in added excitement with our Ring the Bell toiling of our church bells at the start of the race and the sound of bells as each racer finishes. Our 5K is a road race through the Maples Subdivision which starts near the trailhead for Angel Falls, a beautiful and natural landmark on Seven Mile Creek.
Additional fun factors this year will include the Cheer Zones at each kilometer marker and Yellow Jersey recognition of last year's overall male and female winners.

Course Info
This is a traditional 5K road race on residential streets in Lansing, Kansas. There are several long and steep hills but nothing that should discourage the average participant. Although we have traditionally called our race a Steeple Chase, there are no obstacles to jump. We refer to our church steeple as a goal.

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church is located just one mile west of K-7/Hwy 73 at the intersection of Ida and Desoto Streets in Lansing, Kansas. We have an abundance of free parking on site but parking on Ida or Desoto is not allowed.

The Activity Center will be open the day of the race for access to restroom facilities. The race goes rain or shine.
