Description

Start your school year or fall season off right with a 5K! Starting at the engineering buildings of WVU in Morgantown, this 5K gives you a tour of the Evansdale Campus through Agricultural Sciences, the new Greenhouse, Towers, and the Rec Center. Students and engineers, come on out for refreshments and food afterwards and get connected as the 2013-2014 job searching season begins! Door prizes will be given away at the end of the race, and photos will be taken.

Race Location: WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, Evansdale Campus. Registration begins at 12pm at entrance opposite of PRT station. Directions: Drive up Beechurst Avenue. Turn right at the light before the Coliseum. Drive a quarter mile, pass the turning circle at the PRT Station until you come to the 1st parking lot on your right. Course Description: 2-loop course with minor hills touring Evansdale Campus. Start in front of main CEMR entrance, run past Ag Sciences, Greenhouse, and Percival Hall. Turn right at Towers tennis courts, then turn around at Towers front entrance loop. Run towards and through Rec Center parking lot. Turn left up towards engineering, and run back to start. Awards: Top three male and female runners receive medal. Top three teams will receive trophies, with first place receiving a traveling trophy! There will also be door prizes given away at the end of the race! Proceeds: Benefits traveling expenses to the Virginias Conference and other activities of the WVU Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, including the Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge teams. Entry Cost information: (Pre-registration includes T-shirt!) $15 if postmarked by 8/8/2013, $20 after 8/8/2013 and day of race. Other Information: Put a team together at no cost!
