Description

Located across from the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this charity race to benefit the local nonprofit recreation center, Club America WMV, features a 10K loop around some of the famous silver mines near historic Silver Cliff, Colorado.  At an altitude of 8000 ft., this race provides a challenging and interesting run to end the season for experienced as well as beginner runners. The fall colors will be at or near their peak.
   Medals provided for all finishers. T-shirts are $10 extra and must be ordered by August 15. Post race awards and snacks provided.
  All proceeds will go to Club America WMV to be used for much needed energy efficiency capital improvements.

Course Info

The 10K run will be a loop with 1.1K on pavement, and 8.9K on gravel road with an aid station at the 7.5K point. Map of the course is posted on www.clubamericawmv.org under Events.
The 5K run will be an out and back course on gravel road with an aid station at the turn around. 

Directions

From Pueblo, take Hwy 96 west in to Silver Cliff, turn right on Emery Street and go north. Cross cattle guard and follow CR 243 to the parking area. 
From Colo Springs, take I-25 south to the Nevada/Tejon exit, turn south on Nevada, to Hwy 115 to Florence. Turn left on Hwy 67 to Wetmore and then turn right on Hwy 96 to Silver Cliff/Westcliffe. In Silver Cliff, turn right on Emery Street and cross cattle guard, then follow CR 243 to parking area.
