Description

The 4.1 mile wooded trail run is on almost entire single-track trail. It is a great introduction for the first time trail runners, and a fast course for the experienced runner. A portion of the proceeds will go to help in the development and upkeep of the Gunn Parks Trails .

Course Info

The 4.1 mile wooded trail run is on almost entire single-track trail. The course is well marked, and is a great introduction for the first time trail runners, and a fast course for the experienced runner. There is 1 water station, so it is a good idea to bring your own water bottle to carry on the course. There will be a optional mountain bike ride on the trails following the run, so feel free to bring your bike.

Directions

If you are coming from the north, take 69 Hwy South (50 minutes south of Overland Park), once you come to the Fort Scott city limits, turn right on 6th Street. Turn left on South National Ave.. Take the second right onto 8th Street. Turn left on Burke Street. Take the 1st right onto Park Ave. You will see the park. Enter the park and follow the road to Shelter 6.

If coming from the South, take US-69 North. Once you come to the Fort Scott city limits, turn left on 6th Street. Turn left on South National Ave.. Take the second right onto 8th Street. Turn left on Burke Street. Take the 1st right onto Park Ave. You will see the park. Enter the park and follow the road to Shelter 6.
