Racing for the Riverfront!
Join us on Saturday, September 14, 2013 for the inaugural Bridge the Community 5k, 10k, and Kids Fun Run!
The only event in the Sauk Valley Area that features a 5k and a 10k, the race courses will take you along the beautiful Rock River and through both Sterling and Rock Falls - crossing the Rock River twice!
Come to run and then stay for the annual Fiesta Days Parade, crossing the 1st Avenue Bridge. Visit the shops and enjoy lunch in downtown Sterling and Rock Falls.
Make it a day to Bridge the Community!

Course and Race Information:
- The race begins at RB&W District on the Rock Falls riverfront, crossing over the First Avenue Bridge.
- Course will cross the river on the Pedestrian Walk Bridge before finishing in Rock Falls.
- Awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race.
- Race will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, thank you for your donation.
- Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Families and children too!
- Please no strollers or pets.
- Timing and finish line will be provided by the Rock River Road Runners.
Awards:
Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in both the 10k and 5k. Awards will also be given to the overall Masters (age 40 and over) male and female finishers.
Race Fees:
10k Walk/Run - $30
5k Walk/Run - $20
Kids Fun Run - FREE
Participants in the 10k and 5k will recieve a race shirt and goodie bag.
