• Strong Feet for Strong H.A.N.D.S. 5K Run/Walk :- Run 3.1 Miles

On March 29th, 2014, H.A.N.D.S. of Wyoming County will be hosting the Strong Feet for Strong H.A.N.D.S. 5K Run/Walk. This event will be located at the Roslund Elementary School in Tunkhannock, PA.

The event will feature the new running trail behind Roslund Elementary and will also allow for childrens participation with additional kids events on the school grounds. Trophies and metals will be awarded to the top 5K finishers. We expect this to be an annual event focusing on Childrens needs and healthy life habits.

T-shirts will be given out to the first 100 participants that register for the event. The fee to register is only $20 to run or walk. Just print out the registration form from the Wyoming County Family Resource Centers Facebook page and mail a check to H.A.N.D.S. of Wyoming County. If unable to print registration form please email us at [email protected] and we will send the form to you.

The 5K Run/Walk will be begin and end at the Roslund Elementary School, 99 Digger Drive Tunkhannock. For runners this will be challenging and timed. Walkers will be non-competitive. Awards will be given to the top male and top female finishers.

Registration is now until the day of event. Registration begins at 8:00am. 5K starts at 10:00am and the walk begins at 10:05 am.

As a non-profit, we have little funds to cover some of our up-front expenses. If you feel so obliged to donate a monetary sum from your organization or business, we would be most appreciative. Sponsors who donate a monetary sum of $100.00 or more will be recognized on the event shirt. For a donation of $200.00 or more, we will include your logo on the event shirt. A Donation Recognition letter for tax purposes will be available.
