8K trail race description:

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

8K Trail Run

The 8-K run starts at the barricade on Eagle Creek Road.,  just above Eagle Creek Campground.   The race proceeds up the road  to a turn onto an old horse and game trail.  You will run along history here where hunters, gold miners and explorers have gone before!  You will encounter steep and challenging sections along the way.  

The trail intersects with Eagle Creek road, where you will continue on the road.

Your return on Eagle Creek Trail will be a bit more gradual going downhill where you will  rejoin Eagle Creek Road and return to the Jardine Road and the entrance to Eagle Creek Camp Ground and FINISH area!

This is an exhilarating, challenging, and totally rewarding trail-running experience.  The fall foliage will enhance the spectacular views of the Eagle Creek Drainage, Electric Peak, and Yellowstone National Park.  

The course will be well marked.  Water stations and workers will guide you.
