The Tustin Hangars have long been an historic location within Tustin and Orange County. Built in 1942, over 1,000 feet long, 300 feet wide and 17 stories high, the Hangars are two of the largest wooden structures in the world. The Hangars were built towards the end of World War II to house blimps, helicopters and other military equipment.
Today, as the City moves to resurrect the Hangars and grant them the visibility and recognition within the community as historic sites, the Tustin Chamber of Commerce is proud to be the first (and possibly only) major public event within their confines.
The race will also feature a costume contest, be open to pets and strollers and include a staggered start set up so that children, pets and strollers can have more room and comfort during their race. A portion of our proceeds will go to benefit the Tustin Community Foundation, the Chambers designated philanthropy.
This could be your only chance to see the inside of the Hangar! So come join us on Sunday, March 16 for an event that is certain to be an unforgettable one. Visit www.leprechaunleap.org to register or call the Chamber offices at (714) 544-5341 for more information.
