A scenic run on a mostly downhill rail-trail ending with live music and a mix of refreshments at Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park in Morgantown, WV. Celebrate National Trails Day and run to support this rail-trail cause! Limit to 700 so reserve your spot now.
Course Info
A mostly downhill course, the Deckers Creek Trail has an elevation drop of approximately 800 feet over the span of the 13.1 mile distance. The Deckers Creek Trail is a two-surface course, providing a challenging, yet enjoyable experience for runners. The trail surface is packed limestone for the first 10.4 miles and asphalt for the final 2.7 miles. The half-marathon begins in Masontown, WV and finishes at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park in Morgantown. There will be seven water stops along the way.

Coming from Interstate 79 North:
Take Exit 152, Westover. At the end of the exit ramp, take a left at the light. Follow Route 19 North for about two miles. Cross the Westover Bridge. At the end of the bridge get into the right turning lane and turn right at the light. Follow on South University Avenue for about 1/8th of a mile. Go thru the next light in front of Superior Car Sales. Take the next right after the light. Bear to the right after turning and follow down to parking garage.
Coming from Interstate 79 South:

Take Exit 1, University Avenue. At the end of the ramp take a left. Follow for about two or three miles. You will pass an Exxon on your right at the top of the hill. Follow down the hill past Dorsey's Knob Park. On South University Avenue you will pass Waterfront Hotel on your left. Go thru the light at the hotel. Take the second left after the hotel. Bear to your right and follow down to the parking garage.

CHIP TIMING RESULTS provided by Tri-StateRacer. com! Course support and race timing will close at 12:00pm. As in previous years we will have a 2-wave start; 8:30 and 8:45. The display clock at the finish will reflect the 8:30 wave time. However, a complete list of individual gun times, chip times and places will be posted at the finish and available live on TriStateRacer.com throughout the race. All awards will be based on gun times. Photographs, post-race review, and results will also be available at iPlayOutside.com.
