Description
The Martin Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their 1st Annual 5k Blazing Road Race in conjunction with their 1st Annual Martin Day on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Martin VFD as they complete the final phases of building a new training room. The training room once completed will allow them to hold meetings regularly regardless of weather conditions. This room has been needed for quite some time. Donations accepted to Martin Volunteer Fire Department.
Course Info
The raceway will begin at the 4-way stop in Downtown Martin, MS. Racers will proceed down Collinsville-Martin Road turning right onto Hand Road. They will continue down Hand Road to Wildcat Road where they will take another right. Participants will proceed down Wildcat Road until turning right on Newton County Martin Road. They will travel up and down a few hills and cross the finish line back in front of the Fire Station!

Early registration closes March 8, 2014.
Participants will receive an event T-shirt with early registration. Late registrants are NOT guaranteed a shirt!
There will be race awards for each age group as well as overall fastest runner and walker.
Race packets may be picked up at the fire station Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5-8pm. If unable to do so, your packet will be available for pick-up Saturday, March 29, before the race!
