The New Half Marathon course will start on 4th and Cedar in downtown Camas. After a short two block warm up, turn left onto Dallas St to tackle the only major hill on the course. At the top of Dallas (NE 15th St.) turn right toward Everett/SR 500. Once at SR 500/Everett turn left for a little over a mile to connect to the old course at Leadbetter. Turn left onto Leadbetter and continue onto NE 232nd. At the T intersection of NE 28th take a left to head toward Camas Meadows drive. Once again take a left on Camas Meadows Drive. At roughly the Camas Meadow Clubhouse pull a U turn and return to NE 28th where you will connect to Lacamas Lake Trailhead. A scenic 3.5 miles on the trail will return you to SR 500/Everett where you will return to the Start in the same fashion you departed. At the finish, bask in your accomplishment with some music, food, beer garden and family entertainment.
Before your Garmin can tell you that our 5k is long. We know! The course measures at 3.36 miles, (1/4 mile long). The 5k will start at 4th and Cedar in Downtown Camas. After a two block sprint, turn left to run up NE Dallas St. At the top of Dallas turn right onto NE 15th St. After another 2 block sprint turn left onto SR 500/Everett. Continue on SR 500 to Lake Rd. At Lake Rd turn left to run against traffic. (traffic will be stopped). After the final short sprint to the entrance of Heritage Trail parking lot, turn right to join up with the returning 1/2 marathon course. Follow course marking on the trail to return back to the intersection of SR500 and Lake Rd. There will be two way runner traffic at this point so please stay to the left and continue back to the start/finish area. Enjoy the leisurely finish down Dallas to the finish line full of peers, beers, and entertainment!
Take Highway 14 east to exit 12. Follow NW 6th Avenue into downtown Camas. Parking is available along city streets and in the lot located across from US Bank off of Adams and between 5th and 6th.
