2014 The Alex Valeno Exceptional Persons 5k:

This is a charity event hosted by the Special Education Club of Gwynedd Mercy University. The funds raised will be used to support CHOPs Cardiac Unit, Camp Fireflies, and The Autism Institute.

Alex Valeno was an active club member and co-president of the club until January 2013 when she suddenly passed away due to congenital heart disease. In order to honor her, the club has started The Alex Valeno Special Education Award and has designated the 5K in her name.

Festivities include: a DJ, food, a 50/50, Raffle Baskets and more!
This race will take place on Gwynedd Mercy University's Campus. 
Registration at the race will be cash/check only.
University Student Registrants, ID will be checked
All participants are guaranteed a shirt IF registered BEFORE March 2, 2014.
Registrants later than March 2 will receive t-shirts on a first come, first serve basis!
Prizes will be awarded for first male & female finishers valued at $100 each!
