oin us rain or shine for the Christine Grant 5k walk/run on May 10, 2014 at 9 am at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in Iowa City. Registration begins at 7:30 am and race proceeds help support Jean Lloyd-Jones Women Build 6.

Habitat for Humanity Women Build unites women by empowering and challenging them to learn new skills as they act out Habitats mission to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to low-income families and individuals in Cedar, Iowa, Johnson and Washington Counties. This year's Women Build is honor of Jean Lloyd-Jones, former Iowa senator and representative and current co-chair of 50-50 in 2020, a bipartisan initiative to achieve gender equity in Iowa legislature.
The majority of construction will occur in the fall of 2014 and all fundraising helps to cover the costs of building the home. There are many other ways to participate throughout the year.
