The race supports 7 Billion Reasons, a non-profit organization that feels called to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the weak and defenseless. Currently, 7 Billion Reasons is focusing on Busia, Uganda working to provide physical and educational assistance as well as spiritual support to children from varied backgrounds of poverty, family breakdown and abuse. At the present time, 7BR is looking to purchase land in Busia in order to build a Christian school, a medical clinic, church and have land for farming. The goal of this 5K is to raise money to assist with the purchase of land and the initial building phase.
