THE SALVATION ARMY MATCHING GRANT CHALLENGE CAMPAIGN:
The Salvation Army, in an effort to recoup revenue shortfalls from its shortened
holiday hallmark Kettle Campaign, has received a challenge from an anonymous
donor, who will match $58,000: one to one and two dollars for each dollar, after
$23,000 has been reached, to total $151,000 in potential revenue. Upon hearing
about this matching grant challenge, another donor was so moved that another
$10,000 was pledged if The Salvation Army can reach their goal of $58,000.
The campaign is reaching out across personal and corporate venues, with the Red
Kettle Matching Challenge Race, designed to heighten participatory giving and
celebrate the programs of The Salvation Army.
Corporate and other group teams and support are welcome at the distinctive race, to
compete and display their enthusiasm for their group at the event, in support of The
Salvation Army, Roanoke.
