Glow Run 5k

• Glow Run 5k:- Run 3.1 Miles

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, the Historic Harrisburg Association in partnership with Lighten Up Harrisburg, will host the first inaugural Harrisburg Glow Run.

This 5k walk/run will be held along Riverfront Park at 8:30pm.  This will be one of the first nighttime 5ks in the city and is already generating a great buzz!

This brand new event will raise vital funds to help us light our city. With Harrisburgs current financial burden, the city has been unable to replace broken lights and burned out bulbs on a timely basis. Lighten Up Harrisburg hopes to fill the void. The initial goal of the project was to raise funds from partner organizations, area businesses, and community members to help relight the historic Walnut Street Bridge.  Today the project has expanded to focus on lighting initiatives throughout the entire City to create safe neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces.
