JUST A COUPLE RULES
Strollers are okay but we ask that you line up at the rear. And as much as we love dogs, for your safety and your dogs safety, we ask that no dogs be on the 5 mile course. Portions of the course will not be closed to traffic, therefore, for your safety we recommend not wearing headphones. If you don't take our advice, at least turn the volume down so that you can hear oncoming traffic and volunteers shouting out turn instructions.
This is a rain or shine, heat & humidity event.
No refunds. No transfers. We are not responsible for registrations lost in the mail. We strongly encourage those who sign up using a paper registration to do so before June 1, 2014. Check the list of participants for your name - if you do not see your name, you are not registered to run.
THE COURSE
Miles 1, 2, 3 & 4 are spray painted on the left lane of pavement along this course. We will also have signs posted on race day identifying each mile marker.
Note: The start line is behind City Hall and follows a gravel path that measures approximately 200 feet until you make a right turn onto paved Burgess Gower Road. Since this race has a common start/finish that means you'll run that same 200 feet of gravel to get back to the finish line. To get a full 5 mile loop course (without doing an out-and-back course) we had to improvise a bit. Click on the link below to see the course layout.
