Help children and adults with developmental disabilities live the life they
deserve! Join supporters far and wide for the Fifth Annual "Be a Superhero ~ Run for a
Reason" 10K/5K benefiting the Bowen Foundation
for Autism and The Arc of the Central Chesapeake. Participants will enjoy an
exceptional 3.1 mile run/walk at breathtaking Quiet Waters Park, along the
South River in Annapolis, MD. All registered racers will receive a tee shirt and
other goodies as well as great coffee and gourmet snacks post-race! New this year is also a 10k race
in addition to the 5k so you can run/walk/wheel to your heart's content! After the race all participants will be able to enjoy our After
Party with great food and drink and entertainment as a part of their race
price.
And know you are supporting a great cause: 100 percent of net proceeds go to help
children and adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Quiet Waters Park is one of the most beautiful outdoor places in Maryland. This waterfront park of over 340 acres includes kayaking, trails, pavilions, playgrounds and so much more. The 3.1 mile course is along the Severn River waterfront and the woods on a paved trail. Children in strollers and leashed pets welcome. Race is open walkers and runners and will be officially chipped and timed. Bicycles are prohibited. After the race all participants will be able to enjoy our After Party with great food and drink and entertainment as a part of their race price.
