Description
The 5K-9/Bark in the Park event is a 5K, 1 Mile Health Walk/Run and Kiddie Dash on May 18, 2014 (Rain or Shine) at Harry Wright Lake in Manchester for dog lovers and their pets. 100% of the proceeds go directly to American Rescue Dog and the Lakehurst-Manchester Rotary Club. This event is DOG- FRIENDLY, so runners/walkers may participate with their dogs. Enjoy a post-race awards ceremony with team and individual plaques to top finishers. After the 5K-9 event, don't miss out on Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park is a fundraising event featuring local vendors, dog games and activities, training demos and more.
Course Info
The 5K course is a 3.1 mile loop that consists of trails and residential roadways. A nice mix for both dogs and humans. There are water stops available along the course for both dogs and humans.

DIRECTIONS TO HARRY WRIGHT LAKE - Lake Rd, Manchester Township, NJ 08759 - FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY
Going South Garden State Parkway South to Exit 88, Lakewood/Lakehurst. After going through toll, make a right onto Route 70 west. *Follow all the way through Lakehurst (youll pass a McDonalds on left, Lakehurst Diner on right). Continue on Route 70 West approximately 6 miles till you come to a traffic light which is Manchester Boulevard (Whiting). Make left onto Manchester Boulevard follow all the way to the end till you cant go anymore (2nd traffic light). Make a left onto Route 530 and then a quick right onto Station Road. Station Road turns into Lake Road. Drive approximately 2 3 miles. Harry Wright Lake will be on your right.
Going North Garden State Parkway to Exit 82A, Rt. 37W/Toms River/Lakehurst Take Rt. 37W. to Rt. 70W. follow directions above. * FROM TURNPIKE Take Turnpike to Exit 7A. Take I-195 to Exit 16A Make a right onto 537 West. Go past Great Adventure for about 5 miles to Rte. 539 (traffic light) Make left on 539 stay 7 or 8 miles to Rte. 530. Bear left onto 530. Pass Manchester Blvd on left, go over RR tracks & make a right onto Station Road. Station Road becomes Lake Road. Continue on Lake Road approximately 2 3 miles.
