2014 5K Turkey Trot:
• This will be our second year doing the Turkey
• Trot. We created this event to help get our community active and healthy.
• Walking is one of the easiest way to improve your overall physical well being.
• We encourage all ages and fitness levels to participate.
• This is not a timed event - we are here to have fun and be healthy.
• We ask that you please bring a non-perishable food items the day of the event to be donated to a local food pantry.
Course Info
• The course will start up a slight hill and then it's all down hill from there.
• The purpose of the hill is that in the journey of health and physical fitness there will be hard times, but once you overcome that you feel better and are more successful.
• The rest of the route is on sidewalks and roads.
Directions
• GPS tracking to Alpine Street, South Paris.
• You cannot miss the fields.
• You can also park at the High School (256 Main Street, South Paris) and carpool to the fields.
Other Info
• Free T-shirts if registered before October 2, 2014.
• This event will take place rain, snow or shine.
PREVIOUS RESULTS
In 2013 we rasied $1600 for the Second Chances Foundation and were able to donate a truck bed full of food to a local food pantry. We had just over 300 participants and are hoping to break that record in 2014.
