For the past 6 years Dov Siporin has fought against the odds, outliving a terminal cancer diagnosis far longer than doctors predicted and brightening the lives of thousands of others facing cancer at the same time.

Join us on Thursday, June 12th to HOWL AT THE MOON with Dov and his family and we join together for a Full Moon 5k Fun Run like no other.

The race will be held at Sugar House Park (1358 2100 S, Salt Lake City) and will be filled with costume clad runners of all ages ready to run for Dov in honor of his greatness, goodness and example that life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.

A t-shirt will be given to those who register on or before May 23rd.  Following the race, participants can enjoyrefreshments, door prizes, music, costume contests and an award ceremony. In addition, runners will have the opportunity to visit with Dov and take race photo’s with other runners.

Packet & T-shirt Pick-up will be held at Sugar House Park, Saturday, June 7th, from 11 am – 4 pm  and onMonday, June 9th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Big Field Pavilion.

Please Note: Participants should be able to complete the 5k race in 90 minutes – After this times, runners will be directed to the Big Field pavilion area to participate in additional festivities.

Event Details:

The Course
The race will be run on paved roads around Sugar House Park. Two (2) laps around the park complete the 5K. Water stops will be available throughout the course. The race will begin and end at the Big Field Pavilion area.  A timer will be available for those who desire to know their time upon completion, however no official time record will be kept. Learn more about Sugar House Park here.

Post Race Activities
Refreshments will be provided for race participants. A DJ will entertain with tunes and door prize drawings will be made. You must be present to win. Those who registered for the Costume Contest will be given time to strut their stuff and then judged by crowd cheers.  Teams and individual runners will also be able to get their pictures taken.

Awards
Race awards will be given to the top two finishers, both male and female. Costume prizes will be awarded for those who registered to be in the Costume Contest and the lowest crowd cheer for individual contestants will determine the winner. Crowd loudness will be determined by the DJ who will also provide post race music.
