Leadership Paducah Class #27 invites you to "Step out for Child Watch" on June 14, 2014.  The all day event begins with the 5K on the Runway, a unique, one of a kind 5K on an actual runway at the Barkley Regional Airport.  Registration begins at 7am, the 5K starts at 8am, and the 1 mile Kid's Run starts at 9am for children 12 and under.  $30 for adults ($35 day of), and $15 for children 12 and under.

Chip timing and age group trophies will be offered.  More information on that to come later.

After the run relax a little while then put on your dance shoes and make your way to the Paducah Convention Center to hear the Murr-Vegas All Stars rock the house.  There will be plenty of food and drinks, and even a live and silent auction.  Tickets for this event are $50 and can be purchased at www.leadershippaducah.org.

These events are to provide support to the great organization Child Watch.  Their mission is to provide a child-friendly environment for the prevention, evaluation and treatment of child abuse victims.  They have been the recipient of over 15 honors and awards recognizing the Center for outstanding advocacy and services to the children in our region, including Kentucky's first annual "Champions for Children" Award.

Proceeds support the prevention and treatment of child abuse and healing services for vulnerable children and teens.  A portion of the proceeds will go toward training and developing leaders in the Paducah area.
