Color Me Chemistry 5k

• Color Me Chemistry 5k:- Run 3.1 Miles

This is a fundraising event for the ETSU Chemistry Department . All proceeds will go to the Chemistry department to help purchase lab supplies and equipment that will aid in the teaching of chemistry. As for the event itself, it is a chemistry-themed color run. So the race will relate to chemistry, the dyed cornstarch will be given names of elements that are used to color fireworks:

Yellow – Sodium

Blue – Copper

Green – Barium

Red – Strontium

To make it more fun, runners are encouraged to wear lab coats, safety glasses, or any other chemistry themed apparel while running in the event. A prize will be handed out to the best chemist costume. So, here is your chance to dress like a mad scientist and, not only get away with it, but also, have the possibility to win a prize for it!

Don’t worry if you don’t like chemistry or even science; it’s okay, we won’t discriminate. Come out and enjoy a fun color run, while having the satisfaction of supporting our local ETSU Chemistry Department!
