are inviting the community and local businesses to help us celebrate another year as we expand our efforts to raise awareness on ending childhood hunger. We have partnered with youth and hunger fighters at Grind Out Hunger to present the 2nd Annual Santa Cruz River Run on June 21st 2015. This scenic run around the Levee is followed by a post race expo that will feature a variety of local businesses. This course includes a 1k, 5k, and 10k and is great for runners, walkers, and all ages.
Last year with the help of our sponsors, we were able to rase $10,000 for Grind Out Hunger. This year we hope to beat that goal, but we can’t do that without your help! Help reinvigorate the downtown area and recapture the Levee for a positive purpose, involving families and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
This year’s event will start and end in San Lorenzo Park.
Danny Keith of Grind Out Hunger and Ellison are hoping to help reinvigorate the downtown area & recapture the levee for a positive purpose, involving families in a day promoting healthy lifestyles and fun activities. Grind Out Hunger’s mission is to engage the youth and fight hunger. Potrero Street at River St. will be closed for Expo wellness booths, food and more.
