Description
The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee celebrates Billie the Elephant's birthday in October. For the second consecutive year, we are hosting a 5K and Fun Run in her honor! A T-shirt and tote bag is included with your registration fee. This event is held in partnership with the Hohenwald/Lewis County Oktober Heritage Festival. Register the kids for our 1 Mile Kids Run! Come for the race, stay for the festival!
The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, founded in 1995, is the nation's largest natural-habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered elephants. It operates on 2,700 acres in Hohenwald, TN - 85 miles southwest of Nashvile.
As a true Sanctuary, the elephant habitat is closed to the public.
Course Info
The course will begin and end in downtown Hohenwald. It is a nice, flat course:) Registrants will receive more detailed map.
