The first 3 miles of the race will be on a flat, gravel road that leads
to a short section of the paved bike path. At approximately four miles
in runner's will enter the River's Edge Trail- a technical, undulating,
windy single and double track trail overlooking the Missouri River. At
the end of the trail the runners will briefly race on top of the paved
bike path leading to the final 2 miles of farm/gravel road to the
finish.

Directions
The Nippy Niner will begin near the entrance to the Columbia Bottom Convservation Area.
The park is located in north St. Louis County at the confluence of the
Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. From I-270 you can exit at Riverview
Drive and head north. The road to the park changes its name to Strodtman
Road almost immediately north of the highway. The park is approximately
3 miles north of the Chain of Rocks Bridge.
