- 5k Obstacle & Fitness Challenge:- Adventure Run With Obstacles
On Sunday, March 8, Cerritos College will be hosting a 5K Obstacle & Fitness Challenge. The event is being used as a fund raiser for Fight for Kids, a non-profit organization with the privilege of providing an opportunity for low-income families and at-risk youth to participate in organized sports. The gym focuses on training and education in martial arts, wrestling and fitness classes. It's designed to develop stronger minds, healthier habits, encouraging teamwork and boosting self-esteem, all while sharing a positive environment. The event is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. at the football stadium.
The course will take place on campus and will include obstacles and fitness stations along the way to the finish line. At each fitness station, you will be greeted and coached by a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, who will coach you along the way. Upon reaching the finish line, each participant will receive their official medal, recovery food/drink, listen to music, meet and greet the MMA fighters. Registration will end when capacity is reached. This event is a public spectator event.
A portion
of funds raised at the 5k OBS & FIT Challenge will go to the Cerritos
College Wresting Team and Fight For Kids community Non-profit Organization.
Runners
will receive a customized Medal, T-shirt, goody bag, sponsors and get fit in the process.
