About the Race

The Memphis Heroes race is a unique 6K run/walk presented by La Paloma Treatment Center of Foundations Recovery Network. La Paloma offers an integrated treatment plan for persons with substance abuse and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. Research shows that many people dealing with drug addiction and alcohol addiction are also afflicted with mental health disorders. Foundations Recovery Network and its treatment facilities like La Paloma look at both simultaneously in order to treat the whole person.The caring and compassionate staff members at La Paloma are specially trained to address the complex needs of those with co-occurring disorders and are committed to seeing you or your loved one through this storm and into a renewed life.

Race Course

The 6K course takes you through Overton Park’s Old Forest in the heart of Memphis, TN. With an ecosystem dating back more than 10,000 years, it is a rare peek into what the city would have looked like before humans arrived and brought development along with them.  Some trees in the forest are hundreds of years old, and the extremely diverse plant community supports a wide range of wildlife.  Flat enough for a PR and surrounded by natural beauty- you're going to love this course!
