Description

The original St. Patty's Day Run that Mountain Man Events has brought to you since 2000 will now be produced by BBSC Running. 

 

Tired of the racing without views? Run this out and back course on the old railroad  trail that was used to make Hoover Dam! The railroad has since been removed and  is now part of the Historic Railroad Trail that offers amazing views of Lake Mead and a very unique Hoover Dam overlook. You will be gazing at Lake Mead the entire event with some spectacular views!

Course Info

1/2 Marathon Course

Start Time: 7:45am

 

Begin at the Historic Railroad Trailhead and run West on the River Mountain Loop trail for 2.96 before reaching the 1st turnaround. Run back towards the start line, and continue onto the Historic Railroad Trail going through the 6 tunnels for 6.42 miles until you reach the 2nd turnaround, at which point you will head back 3.72 miles to the finish line.

 

12K Course

Start Time: 7:50am

 

Start at the Historic Railroad Trailhead and run East on the Historic Railroad Trail for 3.7 miles and then head back the same way you came.

5K Course

Start Time: 8:00am

 

Start at the Historic Railroad Trailhead and run East on the Historic Railroad Trail for 1.55 miles and then head back the same way you came.

1 Mile Fun Run / Walk

Start Time: 8:05am

 

Start at the Historic Railroad Trailhead and head  East on the Historic Railroad Trail for 1/2 mile and then head back the same way you came.

Directions
From Las Vegas Area: 215 East, which becomes Lake Mead Drive. Take the 515/ 93/ 95 exit SOUTH toward Boulder City. Once you start to enter the town of Boulder City you will come to a traffic light, take a LEFT, which is the truck/ direct route toward Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. Drive down the hill about 4 miles. Go LEFT into the Lake Mead area toward the Vistors' Center.
