We are teaming up with Livestrong to break a world record and end cancer, and you’re invited! On Sunday, Feb 22 at Camp Mabry (Austin, TX), we will be running a 5K like no other. Be a part of the very first Record Run, where we break world records to make a positive change in the world. This year, our mission is to capture the title for “Most Pennies Collected” by hosting the Penny Drop Project. The centerpiece of the 5K course will feature our collection of over one million pennies, and we encourage you to bring your own spare change so that you can be recognized as a contributor to a world record and outstanding cause. The event will be featured by Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and will be a demonstration by our community, state, and nation of our support for those who have been affected by cancer. If you would like to dedicate your run/walk to someone, we will have a wall where we encourage you to write their name and recognize their impact on your life. Whether you are a runner, walker, parent, or child, there will be opportunities for fun, games, snacks, athleticism, and giving back. We can’t wait to see you there!
