I wanted to introduce you to a new event on the New Jersey running landscape for 2015.  The Liberty Lightning 9K will launch on My 16^th, 2015 at Liberty State Park in Jersey City.  The race is being conducted by the Liberty Run Foundation as part of its Armed Forces Day celebration.  Proceeds from the race will benefit The Liberty Run Foundation, which provides veteran to veteran support to enable continued care and programs for the special needs of injured and recovering veterans and their families.

The entire race will take place in Liberty State Park in the shadow of the iconic Statue of Liberty and the New York City Skyline, providing a beautiful backdrop for runners.  Race day will be a great celebration for this worthwhile cause and we expect thousands of runners and many more friends and family in attendance for the day long festivities.  In addition to the run, there will be a health and fitness expo on race day.
