NAMI Joplin Memorial 5k Run/Walk

• 9th Annual NAMI Spring Fundraiser 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

The National Alliance on Mental Illness announces their 9th Annual NAMI Spring Fundraiser. This year’s activity will be a 5k Run/Walk on Saturday April 11th at Landreth Park (4th and Murphy Blvd in Joplin). The 5k Run/Walk, along with the Golf Tournament in the fall, are the two major fundraisers for NAMI to provide support, education, and advocacy for those with mental health issues. Everyone is welcome to the 5k Run/Walk, the walk will not be timed, but the run will.

There will be prizes awarded to individuals receiving the most donations and medals for 1st and 2nd place in each category. Top 3 male and female runners will receive a medal as well.  T-shirts will be given out for participants earning minimum of $25 in donations. Registration begins at 7am, run starts at 8:30AM and walk starts at 8:45AM.

Donuts and biscuits and gravy will be served at 10:30AM. Awards and prizes will be awarded after the completion of the race. The NAMI Joplin 5k Memorial Run/Walk luncheon is February 27th at 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the South YMCA in Joplin.
