THE LEPRECHAUN IS TURNING 30 AND GOING BACK TO HIS ROOTS TO CELEBRATE!
This year's 5 mile run and 2 mile fun run/walk is bringing your beloved Leprechaun Run back to its roots! As a Philadelphia tradition since 1984, the race will be returning to the second Saturday in March near the Art Museum!
Last year's Leprechaun Run raised over $25,000 for Special Olympics Philadelphia and our nearly 1,800 athletes right here in the city!
Join us this year in our 30 for 30 Challenge! $30,000 for 30 years! Help us raise $1,000 for every year this run has been in existence! If each runner raises $50, we'd raise approximately $75,000 for Special Olympics Philadelphia!

All proceeds of the Leprechaun Run benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes in Philadelphia.
- $10,000 can underwrite health screenings for 400 new athletes!
- $5,000 gives 22 athletes the chance to shine through Special Olympics programming for an entire year!
- $2,500 provides the opportunity for one SOPA athlete to represent Philadelphia at the National Games!
- $1,000 covers the cost of training and equipment for the entire Philadelphia Special Olympics basketball program!
- Events like the Leprechaun Run are an integral source of funding for our program that serves nearly 1,800 athletes and for the literally thousands more potential lives that our programming could touch!
