Description
Eastside Academy is a private high school for at-risk youth located at Overlake Christian Church. Eastside Academy is hosting a 5K Fundraiser on Saturday, June 13th. Youth who attend Eastside Academy face struggles such as homelessness, abuse, addiction, pregnancy, truancy and mental health issues. Proceeds from the 5K will be used to provide students with the high school education, counseling, and recovery needed to turn their lives around.
This is a family-friendly 5K. The 5K run starts at 9AM and the Kids' Fun Run starts at 8:45AM. We would love to
have anyone join us. People can register for the event at

Course Info
Race starts and finishes in the parking lot of Overlake Christian Church. The bulk of the race is on the Sammamish River Trail, which is a well-paved path along the river with trees, bushes, and grasses for scenery as well as various animals in the air and water. The trail is flat and the race has no hills. This is an out and back sort of race with a turn around at about the half way point.

Overlake Christian Church is located on Willows Road in Redmond, WA. Enter the parking lot and follow event signs to find parking and starting line.
