Half Marathon
Start/Finish line at Sandpoint City Beach,
Run west across Bridge Street,
Turn south at 1st Ave,
Turn east at Lake St through Power House parking lot to Bike Path,
Run south on Bike Path,
Run south across pedestrian long bridge
Continue south on Bike Path until reaching the turn around just south of Monarch Road,
Return to Sandpoint via same route to Bridge Street.
Turn north onto new Sand Creek Byway Bike Path,
Continue north on Bike Path until it ends and then return to Bridge Street,
Turn west on Bridge Street to the Finish Line at City Beach
10K Run
Start/Finish line at Sandpoint City Beach,
Run west across Bridge Street,
Turn south at 1st Ave,
Turn east at Lake St through Power House parking lot to Bike Path,
Run south on Bike Path,
Run south across pedestrian long bridge until reaching the turn around just south of Northern Energy business,
Return to Sandpoint City Beach via same route.
5K Run
Start/Finish line at Sandpoint City Beach,
Run west across Bridge Street,
Turn north onto new Sand Creek Byway Bike Path,
Continue north on Bike Path until it ends and then return to Bridge Street,
Turn east on Bridge Street until reaching the finish line at City Beach.
EMS aid stations will be at:
o the Start/Finish Line at Sandpoint City Beach;
o roving EMS on the Sand Creek Bike Path. (same as 2012)
o south end of the Long Bridge;
o Half Marathon turnaround located just north of Monarch Road.
o Roaming EMS will be provided along the course.
Water/sports drink stations will be located at:
- the Start/Finish Line at Sandpoint City Beach,
- Dog Beach,
- south end of the Pedestrian Long Bridge,
- just north of Monarch Road,
- and at the north end of the Sand Creek Bike Path. (same as 2012 & 2013)
Portable toilets will be stationed at:
- the Start/Finish Line at Sandpoint City Beach (4),
- Dog Beach (2),
- south end of the Pedestrian Long Bridge (2),
- just north of Monarch Road (4),
- and the north end of the Sand Creek Bike Path (2). (same as 2012 & 2013)
We have capped the # of participants to 1,200 runners (800 Half Marathon, 300 10K, 100 5K).
- The Half Marathon begins at 8:30 a.m. with the fastest runners completing the course in 1:15 hours and the slowest runners completing the course in 4:00 hours. (Finish times range from 9:45 to 12:30)
- The 10K begins at approximately 8:40 a.m. with the fastest runners completing the course in 35 minutes and the slowest runners completing the course in 2:00 hours. (Finish times range from 9:15 to 10:45)
- The 5K begins at approximately 8:45 a.m. with the fastest runners completing the course in 15 minutes and the slowest runners completing the course in 1:00 hour. (Finish times range from 9:00 to 10:00)
- Race course completely closes at 12:30 p.m.
