Description
The Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation will be holding it's annual Explore the Outdoors 5K Fun Run / Walk on April 18th, 2015 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 9am. The race will consist of a 5K Run / Walk and a 1K free Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under. After the race, stay in the park and a make a day of it! From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, there will be fun, games, crafts and activities at a free event sponsored by KNPB. In addition, there will be discounted museum tickets available, food trucks, and Buddy from the show, Dinosaur Train.
To register for the 5K and 1K events, go to http://www.tmparksfoundation.org or call the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation at 775-453-0713. Registration for the 5K is $25.00 through March 31st and $30.00 after March 31st. Registration for the 1K Kids Fun Run is free!
Proceeds from this event help Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation, a nonprofit organization, to raise awareness and appreciation of our parks, and to foster better stewardship of these vital public resources.
