Badges of Honor 5K

• 1.5 Mile Hero Walk / Run:- Run 1.5 Mile

This annual 5K run / walk will honor the heroes who answer the call when we are in need.  Our heroes are the men and women who are serving or retired rescue personnel and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Badges of Honor 5K provides a unique opportunity for members of the community and those in public safety to come together and compete as a tribute to those that have fallen in the line of duty. These responders include members of our Armed Forces, Law Enforcement and our Firefighter/EMTs.

We will have a 1.5 mile family walk for those who would like to participate and show their support. Kids are encouraged to dress up like their favorite superhero...real or fictional.

Do you have someone that you would like to honor or remember during this run / walk? 

All net proceeds will be used to set up a training grant for BGSU State Fire School or Tech Rescue courses in memory of our fallen heroes.

This race will offer each entrant a choice of being a competitive or recreational participant. This special event will combine the sentiment of an opening ceremony with the excitement of a competitive 5K race and the opportunity for fun family on the 1.5 mile walk / run. 

Mission:  Our mission is to honor and remember those who have given their lives in service to their communities and to recognize those who currently serve.  Our goal is to raise money for training scholarships.  Training creates instinct and instinct saves lives.

Registration will begin promptly at 4:00 pm at the Perry Field House and opening ceremonies will follow at 5:30 pm. All races will begin at 6:00 pm. We hope to see you there to honor our heroes!
