Race is to help fund non-profit organization, GOD'S HANDS AT WORK. Our mission is to be God's hands when someone in our community needs a hand up. We currently serve people in Gallia, Jackson, Meigs and Mason counties. We have helped victims of house fires, domestic and elder abuse, homelessness and job loss, etc. We've provided help with things like transportation to medical procedures, lodging, school supplies, clothes, furniture and other household items, groceries, heating fuel, etc. We are only limited in what we do by what our community members are willing to give. We have zero paid staff and our board members receive no compensation. We are 100% volunteer supported. You can read more about us on our Facebook page: God's Hands At Work.
