11th Annual Beach Blast 5K

• Beach Blast 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Uwharrie Running Club is going big for the Beach Blast 5K. Our goal is to have 1,000 runners. This year, cool max shirts to all participants in your choice of female or male cut shirts.

The Beach Blast 5k takes participants through beautiful downtown Albemarle which is less than 45 minutes from Charlotte, Salisbury, Concord and Rockingham. 

Post-race showers available at Stanly County YMCA. Top 3 Male & Female Finishers receive awards hand-carved by gourds by a  local artist. Five year age group trophies presented 3 deep. After the race, enjoy a world famous 5K Sugar Cookie from Albemarle's very own Sweet Shop!
