Philosopher's Way Trail Runs - 2015

• 7k trail run:- Run 4.3 Miles
• 15k trail run:- Run 9.3 Miles

The TrailHeads are pleased to announce the Eighth Annual Philosopher's Way 7K and 15K Trail Runs, scheduled for May 2nd, 2015. Runners will be able to choose between a 7K or 15K run through gently rolling single-track trails in the Carolina North Forest. This tranquil natural oasis features 750 acres of woodlands nestled between the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro. This event is meant for everyone and organized to provide a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable morning on the trails. Enjoy a respite from the urban landscape and come celebrate Spring and the beauty of our local trails and in the company of good friends and music. The event will promote awareness of the Forest, UNC's active management program and will provide the participants and community a chance to learn and connect with the natural environment. The 15K race will start at 8:00AM, and the 7K will start at 8:20AM. Door prizes will be given away before and after the race and awards will follow the finish.

Please Note: No Headphones, DVD Players, XBOX Ones, or Play Station 4s. No race day registration. No waiting list, no refunds, no mile markers, no whining. Carolina North Forest Management has the right to postpone the event if, in their opinion, the trail conditions will not be able to withstand impacts associated with the event. This decision may be made at any time up to and including the day of the event. Organized by the TrailHeads of Chapel Hill, Carrboro and beyond. This event benefits the Carolina North Forest funding efforts to maintain the Forest's well-being by employing sustainable management practices that will ensure the Forest is here for the community's enjoyment for many years to come.
