Join us for the 3rd Annual Surfing Madonna 5K/10K Run/Walk & the 10 MILE BEACH CHALLENGE with an amazing LOW TIDE course along the water’s edge covering the most beautiful beaches in North County.
Last year, the race sold out and was dubbed to be the best beach run in the USA!!
Runners, joggers, walkers, skippers, crawlers, & strollers are all welcome to participate!

10 MILE BEACH RUN CHALLENGE: This is the ONLY 10 MILE LOW TIDE BEACH RUN on the west coast!! Starting & Finishing at Moonlight Beach, you’ll head north to the Ponto State Beach Turnaround then head south to the San Elijo Lagoon Turnaround, then head back north to finish at Moonlight Beach! It's a giant loop on the gorgeous beaches of Encinitas!
$2,000 in prize money for the top 3 Male/Female finishers. There is a 2.5 hour time limit for this run, so please keep that in mind! If you’re looking for a SUPER FUN challenge, this is your race!
5K & 10K COURSE: You'll leave the cove at Moonlight Beach and head north with turnaround points at Beacon's Beach (5K), Ponto State Beach Jetty (10K) before heading back and finishing at Moonlight Beach. **The 10K course will pass Moonlight Beach just 1/10th of a mile for the last turnaround before heading into the cove to cross the finish line. We want you to get your full 6.2 miles in :) It's a giant loop on the gorgeous beaches of Encinitas!
At the finish line, you’ll receive loads of refreshments, a gorgeous medal, reggae music on stage, a yoga cool down from prAna, and much more…

From the North (L.A) or South (San Diego): Take I-5 to Encinitas Blvd. Exit. Go West towards the Ocean (about 5 blocks). Encinitas Blvd. deadends into Moonlight State Beach. Parking is first come, first serve (recommendations are on the website).
From Highway 101 coming from the North or South: Turn West on Encinitas Blvd and it will deadend into Moonlight Beach. Parking is first come, first serve (recommendations are on the website)
