2015 Northern Illinois Food Bank's Foodie 5k:

On Saturday, April 11, at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, runners and their families will gather for the 2nd annual Foodie 5K fun run featuring a post-run festival with entertainment, food trucks and a kids zone to benefit Northern Illinois Food Bank.

This event marks the beginning of the running season, and establishes an opportunity for you to educate the community about your business and your commitment to helping the hungry families of northern Illinois.
Course Info

Cantigny is the 500+ acre estate of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, former editor and publisher of
the Chicago Tribune. Cantigny, comprised of gardens and grounds, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, the First Division Museum, and a 27-hole championship public golf course, affords the visitor a vast array of educational as well as recreational experiences.

The 5K course is entirely on Cantigny grounds and a blacktop surface. The race starts at the Visitors Center and proceeds out onto the rolling hills of the Cantigny grounds and back to the Visitors Center. Participants will run past the 1st Division Museum, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, and finish by running through Cantigny Gardens to the Visitors Center. Digital clocks or will be located at mile markers. The run will be chip timed. Water stations will be set up at the half way mark and at the start/finish line.
