2015 Medina Half Marathon :

• Event starts and finishes on the Historic Medina Square. The course runs through our beautiful city, around the crushed gravel trail of Lake Medina, through scenic neighborhoods and then runners head back up to the square. Runners can choose from the Half-Marathon or 5K race.

Course Info

• Course has a nice start of gradual downhill for the first few miles!  This is so nice considering Medina itself is a rather hilly place.  The course runs around Lake Medina around mile 4.  This scenic lake and homes is one of our best kept secrets.  Your legs will enjoy the crushed gravel as well!  We have a brief section of grass to get from the lake back to the main road.

• From there you do hit our "hill" at mile 5!  From there you hit the residential side of our beautiful city.  After a couple easy miles, runners will feel the rolling hills.  Around mile 9, the course flattens out until about mile 12.7.  This is where our runners last year (in our practice race with 400 runners) really picked up their pace and earned PR's and great times!  As you enter the beautiful Medina Square you will run across a historic brick road and back up to the finish line.
