The Flintstone Challenge was established in 2012 by fourth-year medical students from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine’s Flint Campus.
Every year, all proceeds from the race are donated to the Flint Classroom Support Fund which funds innovative and creative ideas linking learning across multiple fields of study, creating new curricula, and finding novel ways to engage the youth of Flint in education. Over the past two years, The Flintstone Challenge has funneled $25,000 into the Flint Classroom Support Fund for special school and teacher grants.
